A modernised (1970) three storey, four bedroom village house with a roof terrace/balcony, located in the centre of the town, on a quiet covered pedestrian passageway. The total built area of the house is 130 m2. On the ground floor is an entrance hall, and a back (bed)room.... Stairs lead to the first floor, and a spacious landing, with a front bedroom, and on the other side of the landing a smaller bedroom and a bathroom. The top floor has a spacious living room with an open plan kitchen, opening onto a covered terrace with nice views over the village to the south, and at the back a fourth (bed)room. The house is structurally sound and in good condition. Soportujar was a peaceful picturesque village with a population of around 200. However, a few years ago it underwent a transformation and turned itself into a tourist attraction, based on its alleged historical connections with witchcraft. There are many witchcraft themed features in the village, such as a dragon fountain (a source of aphrodisiac water), the gingerbread house, the enchanted house of Baba Yaga, the museum of witchcraft, the witches cave, and the evil serpent, found at the entrance to the alleyway where this house is located. The village is still picturesque, but now not so peaceful (but far from noisy.....there are no cars, no loud music) as it has become popular with (mostly) spanish tourists taking a family outing to the Alpujarras, and because of this there are now several bars , restaurants and shops catering to the tourists, whereas previously there had only been those sufficient (one bar, one shop) for the locals. This is a nice house at a good price
